Parking at Sigmund Thun Gorge

Arrive. Get out. Marvel.

Our parking spaces for cars and buses are located along Kesselfallstraße, leading to the Gletscherbahn and the Hochgebirgsstauseen. Please follow the signs to the ticket office. Please note that parking cannot be guaranteed on busy days. On these days, we recommend traveling with the public bus. Coaches can drop off their passengers at one of the two bus stops – it is not possible to drive along the road to the entrance of the gorge.

Here we have clearly laid out the complete range of parking options with the corresponding routes for you:

Camping or long-term parking is expressly prohibited in all of our parking lots!

A heartfelt thank you to all visitors for the many unforgettable moments and exhilarating experiences surrounded by the power of nature.

Now peace and quiet returns—ice, snow, and silence take center stage as the gorge recovers and prepares for a new awakening of nature.

In winter, however, our small winter circular trail to the photo point is free of charge and can be used at your own risk.

The rest of the gorge is expected to reopen at the beginning of May 2026.
