If you are looking for refreshments before (and of course after) an eventful day in the Sigmund Thun Gorge, you will find what you are looking for right at the entrance: there is a vending machine for beverages at the entrance next to the lockers.

Of course, after a hike through the gorge, refreshments are a must – the following establishments will take care of your physical well-being during your stay with us:

Klammseestüberl

Bernard Martinovic and his team welcome you to the Klammseestüberl restaurant right on the shore of the lake of the same name. There is a playground for children right next door, so you can enjoy your meal in peace on the sunny terrace. The brave can venture into the icy cold Klammsee lake.

In summer, you can even walk through the Sigmund Thun Gorge every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. by appointment and then have breakfast at the Klammseestüberl.

Almwirtschaft Schneckenreith

Let the Junger family pamper you with a picturesque view of Klammsee and the Kaprun Valley. Enjoy products from their own farm, such as cheese, bacon, and bread. The Schneckenreith alpine farm can be reached in about 25 minutes from the end of the gorge and the dam wall of Lake Klamm.

Gorge in Winter

The Sigmund-Thun Gorge is now on Winter Break

A heartfelt thank you to all our visitors for the many unforgettable moments and the wonderful, thrilling experiences shared in the midst of nature’s power.

Now it’s time for peace and quiet – ice, snow, and silence take the stage as the gorge rests and prepares for nature’s renewal.

We look forward to welcoming you again around the beginning of May 2026!
