Kaprun Museum in the province of Salzburg

Palpable history in an old farmhouse

Countless years ago the 400-year-old Steinerbauer farmhouse was left to rot after the final descendant had passed away. The building core, however, managed to retain its original charm, a true document of its time. Kaprun later purchased this lot on the Kirchbichl, listed it as a historic monumental and converted the first two floors into the Kaprun Museum. The local museum of Kaprun with its rich history shines brightly with 140 m² of exhibition space and numerous exhibitions from ancient history to the power station to the development of tourism. Additionally, the building regularly serves as the venue for charming events. Take a look at the prices and opening hours of the Kaprun Museum and combine your trip to the Sigmund Thun Klamm with a gripping dose of culture!
